The mission of SPG is develop and execute growth and efficiency options related to a set of strategic group of partners ensuring were maximizing value creation for NU
Growth options from within will come from partnering with Business Areas deeply understanding their strategy leap-frog opportunities.
SPG will also break ground on problem spaces that sit outside the current boundaries of Nus core businesses. This may occur through inorganic pushes to our business outer boundaries - new business opportunities - revenue streams cost efficiencies etc
All in all SPG will operate in a way in which it creates organizational bandwidth to come up with analyze decide and build growth options to accelerate Nus business growth.
About the role
SPG will act as a thought-partner to Nus Building Blocks Business Areas and Business Units to make sure we have top-down and bottoms-up alignment.
P&L performance management geo segment and product - agnostic
Partners relationship (governance and clear comms lines) & risk management (reputational contractual etc.)
Driving business value overseeing a) new revenues streams b) enhance products value prop c) engagement on regulatory landscape and d) access partners network to empower Nu ecosystem. Force multiplier to endorse & execute short-term priorities and actively explore long-term strategy aligned with Nus 5Y plan
SPG will also act as an incubator of new initiatives inside of Nu by owning earlier bets that can create new levers of growth for Nubank without draining significant resources from Business Areas until they are ready to graduate into Nus organization.
SPG will represent Nus global interests in engaging with a select group of strategic partners.

Developing and cultivating key relationships in markets and segments of interest including comprehensive and deep sourcing of potential partners and talent.

Pull (from the business to the function)
They need to be close to Nus Building Blocks Business Units and Business Areas. They want to hear them out - especially around their FUDs (fears / uncertainties / doubts - micro-pessimism) and their wild ambitions (long-term potential outlook - macro-optimism);
They also want to be close to Nus leadership - they have always been an exceptional business and should aspire at remaining so and thus the direction of our business will ultimately come from our vision and our customers and not from watching the industry.
Push (from the function to the business)
They want the organization to better understand the Corporate perspective so that they can aim for a Global optimum rather than Local optimums when making strategy decisions;
They want to support the organization in reconciling and aligning its different parts annual plans with Nus long-term strategy
They also want the organization to have the most insightful perspective on the latest developments across our industry (from competitors moves to disruptive innovation to emerging new businesses and business models);
Ultimately they want to create more bandwidth for the organization to achieve its growth objectives through inorganic and/or out-of-the-business-as-usual options.
6- Strategic and Critical Thinking
The SPG professional should have an active role in the strategy planning and strategic definition with BUs. This means dealing with BUs strategic options and trade-offs alignment on BUs priorities and how a partner can leverage determined initiative etc.
