Job Title: Sales Business Development Center (BDC) Agent

Job Summary
The Sales Business Development Center (BDC) Agent is responsible for managing inbound and outbound customer communications to generate showroom appointments and support vehicle sales. This role serves as the first point of contact for prospective customers and plays a critical role in delivering a positive customer experience while driving sales opportunities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Respond promptly and professionally to inbound leads via phone text email and digital platforms
Make outbound calls to follow up on internet leads unsold showroom traffic and service-to-sales opportunities
Qualify customer needs and schedule appointments for the sales department
Maintain accurate and detailed customer records in the CRM system
Confirm appointments and perform follow-up communications to maximize show rates
Collaborate closely with sales managers and sales consultants to ensure a seamless handoff of appointments
Follow dealership scripts processes and compliance guidelines while maintaining a natural customer-focused conversation
Meet or exceed individual and team performance goals (calls appointments set appointments shown sales support)
Provide exceptional customer service and represent the dealership in a professional and positive manner
Participate in training coaching and performance reviews as required
Qualifications & Skills
High school diploma or equivalent required
Prior experience in automotive BDC call center or sales environment preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable with high-volume outbound and inbound calls
Ability to handle objections and maintain professionalism in challenging situations
Proficient with CRM systems and basic computer applications
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Self-motivated with a goal-driven mindset
Work Environment & Schedule
Fast-paced dealership environment
Schedule may include evenings and weekends
Position may be hourly salary or hourly plus performance-based incentives
Performance Metrics May Include

Appointments set
Appointment show rate
Customer response time
Sales conversion support
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit for extended periods of time
Ability to speak clearly and professionally for extended periods
Occasional standing or walking within the dealership
