Join us in this great and rewarding job as our Positive Behavioural Support team Leader. Youll manage our team to provide person-centred and strengths-based support to our customer (lets call them A) and help them reach their full potential.

A has complex needs including autism with a forensic history. They are in their 30s and have a busy lifestyle enjoying visiting football stadiums volunteering for a local charity planning days out in London Harry Potter World and Dr Who are some of their favourites.

What youll do

• Youll manage a team of PBS Support Workers centred around a customer with complex presentation.

• You and your team will support customers with any aspect of their day-to-day living. Youll work in a person-centred strengths-based and psychologically informed way so they can enjoy the best possible quality of life

• Youll be in regular contact with your manager updating escalating and reporting on all aspects of the service delivery.

• Youll be responsible for planning and overseeing complex support working with customers who display behaviours of concern and may require personal care working alongside Home Groups local multi-disciplinary team

• Motivating directing guiding coaching and supporting your team to work with our customers.

You have

• Experience in CQC Regulated services a Level 4 Diploma in Adult Health & Social Care or equivalent or prepared to work towards it.

• Worked as a Senior Support Worker leading support for people with complex needs or behaviours of distress.

• A patient and calm approach able to adapt your style to Xs needs as well as to the specific occasion and circumstances even when they challenge us.

• Great people management and motivation skills bringing colleagues together to share information best practice and fostering creativity.

• Experience of positive risk management ensuring the safety and wellbeing of customers and colleagues.

The practical bits

• A has support on a 1:1 basis 24hr a day 7 days a week shifts times usually begin at 8am and youll work a 12.5 shift. Each week there will be an admin day of 7.5hrs. You will also join our other team leaders in on call duties.

• Able to use technology to update create and update support plans communicate with colleagues and complete online learning.

• Well make sure you have a fantastic induction with ongoing learning and support.

• Youll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
