Job Summary

As a Sr. Electrical Power Engineer II youll serve as the senior technical authority for designing evaluating and sustaining electrical power systems supporting mission-critical telecommunications infrastructure with the goal to make an impact across the federal government. Our team is responsible for delivering highly available resilient infrastructure for high-visibility customers and youll ensure power systems are engineered operated and maintained to the highest standards of reliability resilience and operational excellence.

What youll do:

  • Lead plan design monitor analyze troubleshoot document and evolve the electrical state of telecommunications networks.
  • Design and evaluate electrical power systems supporting mission-critical infrastructure.
  • Support resilient high-availability infrastructure operations in secure environments.
  • Participate in Agile execution and technical planning discussions.
  • Troubleshoot power system issues and operational faults.
  • Communicate technical recommendations and engineering decisions clearly to stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain customer trust through technical excellence and disciplined execution.
  • Apply creativity and engineering judgment to deliver innovative mission-aligned solutions.

What youll need to succeed:

  • Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility security clearance.
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering; relevant experience may be substituted.
  • Certification meeting DoD 8140 DCWF Role of 451 System Administrator (e.g. CASP CCNP Security CCSP Cloud FITSP-O GICSP GSEC Security or SSCP).
  • 8 years designing and evaluating complex electrical power systems supporting critical infrastructure.
  • Deep expertise in power distribution redundancy grounding and load analysis.
  • Experience supporting telecommunications or data center environments.

SALARY RANGE: $170000 - $230000

The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications skills and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:

  • The candidates professional background and relevant work experience
  • The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
  • Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
  • This role is also eligible for additional compensation subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar which may include:
    • Performance-based bonuses
    • Company-paid training and/or certifications
    • Referral bonuses
