The School
Immanuel Christian Secondary School serves approximately 350 students from grade 6 to grade 12 offering an Alternative Program in accordance with the Alberta Education Act within Lethbridge School Division. Our school is operated through a partnership between the Society for Christian Education in Southern Alberta and the Lethbridge Division School Board.
We offer a distinctively Christian program that:
- Integrates faith learning and service into the entire curriculum and program;
- Challenges students to actively play their role in Gods story; and
- Follows the Alberta curriculum and meets or exceeds all Alberta Education requirements.

Our School Division situated on the beautiful traditional lands of the Blackfoot people is dedicated to growing leading and supporting our community through the values of learning respect leadership well-being and inclusion. - Demonstrate a strong understanding of innovative pedagogy and leading learning including inquiry-based learning comprehensive literacy and numeracy instruction;
- Have a commitment to inclusive and equitable learning opportunities for all students;
- Have a solid understanding of and commitment to Indigenous ways of knowing;
- Demonstrate a commitment to personal professional growth and reflection with a learner mindset;
- Have a deep understanding of the nature of learning and how to strategically and successfully lead a learning community.
Requirements- Applicants must possess or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate a Leadership Quality Standard Certificate and they will possess or be near completion of a Masters Degree in Education.
- Exemplary teaching and administrative experience is necessary.
- Applicants are required to submit a philosophy of Christian Education as part of their application.
- Applicants must provide one reference from a faith based organization.

- A police information check; including Vulnerable Sector Check from Police Services or an RCMP detachment that does not have any charges or convictions.
- A satisfactory Intervention Record Check from South Region Alberta Child and Family Services.
- Proof of photo identification may be a valid drivers licence provincial identification card as issued by a licensed government registry office valid passport or Nexus card. If one cannot be provided a new card must be obtained and proof of application provided within three days of hire.
- Documentation of a valid Social Insurance Number in the employees legal name. If valid Social Insurance documentation in the current legal name can not be provided the successful candidate will be required to obtain a new one within three days of hire.
