Wholl You Be Joining:

You will be a leader on our team of Strategic Analytics professionals reporting to the CFO. You are a detail-oriented and compassionate collaborator who uses your understanding of strategy planning and analytics to help the organization make smarter decisions. Communication is one of your strengths and you are comfortable presenting and promoting your recommendations in front of senior management. You are a self-starter and consistently look for ways to improve and make an impact in all areas of the business.

This role follows a hybrid schedule with in-office work required on Wednesdays and Thursdays to support collaboration and flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the week.

How Youll Make an Impact:

  • Champion value creation within the organization
  • Own end-to-end solution development for questions and problems identified by senior leadership
  • Be a trusted partner to our lines of business and functional leaders in generating data insights around capital deployment and servicing strategic decision support
  • Refine our corporate strategy process from mapping competitive spaces / positions triangulating our addressable markets and augmenting our business model
  • Support the development of our long-range plans collaborating with the executive team; our lines of business leaders; and functional leaders
  • Build and harden business cases by providing financial and business acumen support
  • Facilitate internal business reporting mechanisms including MBRs and OKRs to align teams and drive fulfillment of business mandates
  • Guide and mentor internal teams

What YoullBring to the Table:

  • 5 years of business operations corporate strategy or management consulting experience
  • Proficiency in developing strategy (e.g. market mapping market segments GTM strategic theory / frameworks value proposition)
  • Strong business analytics and financial acumen (e.g. business modelling statistical regression operating levers ROI NPV capital optimization)
  • Industry expertise in clean-tech high-tech consumer electronics energy services and/or SAAS subscription-based sectors
  • Critical thinking with ability to postulate triangulate and connect the dots across the business
  • Entrepreneurial spirit balancing the need for both ideation and discipline
  • Exceptional communicator & proven ability to build relationships across all levels
  • Proven ability to present complicated assessments to senior management with clarity
  • Collaborative and inclusive personality

What happens after you apply:

Interview Process:

  • Round 1: 30-minute phone/video call with a member of our Talent Acquisition team
  • Round 2: 60-minute virtual interview with the Hiring Manager and a team member to assess technical and situational skill set
  • Final: 90-min case study presentation with the Strategic Analytics and leadership team to review case study response and assess behavioural skills

Generac is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role based in Toronto Ontario Canada is between $175000 CAD - $190000 CAD. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates relevant work experience skills certifications and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short-term and long-term incentives.
