Job Summary
Flag Football is more popular than ever and U1 Sports is proud to partner up with NFL Flag and offer leagues in the Fall/Winter/Spring seasons. Flag Football is a non-contact sport full of fun and excitement. This Spring season we are offering leagues at multiple locations with a coed division that accommodates players in Grades 1-8th followed by an All-Girls high school division and Boys high school division. All games and practices in our Saturday League will take place at Riverbank St. Park (679 Riverside Drive) from 10am-11:15am. Our Sunday League will take place at the Fieldston School (3901 Fieldston Road) from 10am-12:00pm . The teams are balanced through a coachs assessment and draft.
Qualifications
Successful coaching experience with adolescents in grades K-8.
A passion for athletic competition and the ability to motivate build confidence character and inspire student-athletes
Commitment to building a diverse equitable and inclusive community
Some divisions practice and play games at different times making it possible to work with multiple age groups or teams.
Practices occur on the day of games
Plan and manage positive engaging practices
Oversee the development and progress of each child on their team
Complete end of season student-athlete assessments
Desired Qualities
Strong interpersonal communication skills and highly developed emotional intelligence
Differentiates instruction for a range of learning styles and abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Respects and enjoys working with 5-15yr olds
