Job Summary
Trustbridge Hospice in Boca Raton a part of Empath Health is seeking a detail-oriented Full-Time Dietary Assistant Ito help promote and follow all dietary policies and procedures in the Care Centers to ensure safe food practices. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our programs and services meet regulatory dietary requirements and reflect best practices that benefit our patients families and community.
What Youll Do
Assemble and deliver patient or resident meal trays according to dietary orders and tray cards.
- Functions as a kitchen steward with food preparation washing vegetables assisting with catering orders.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of a cook or dietary supervisor.
Ensure cleanliness of kitchen dining areas and equipment following food safety and infection control procedures.
Wash dishes utensils and food service equipment using appropriate sanitizing techniques.
Maintain accurate temperature logs for food storage and meal service areas.
Set up and restock food stations salad bars or beverage stations as needed.
Follow special diet guidelines including diabetic low-sodium gluten-free or allergy-specific meals.
Assist with receiving rotating and storing food supplies and inventory.
Provide friendly and respectful service to patients residents staff and visitors.
Follow all facility policies and procedures related to food handling and dietary care.

What Youll Need
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous experience in food service or healthcare settings preferred.
Ability to read write and follow oral and written instructions in English.
Basic understanding of nutrition sanitation and food safety practices (training provided).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 2550 pounds.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays as needed.
