- Establish individual and school goal-setting targets related to both assessment (NWEA PSAT SAT) and post-secondary planning with students and faculty.
- Attend data review with Mohegan staff to develop and adjust intervention plan for individual students who are at-risk due to academics attendance social/emotional or behavioral issues.
- Progress monitor and provide continuous review of data for all at-risk students.
- Coordinate portfolio project with individual students and faculty based on a growth mind-set.
- Develop relationships with students who are at-risk specifically for attendance establish plan for attendance improvement and monitor individual progress.
- Facilitate community and business partnerships with the goal of student internships and post-graduation opportunities in mind.
- Work with staff to provide other group services as needed e.g. anger management substance abuse grief and loss suicide prevention/intervention depending on needs of identified student population.
- Referral of at-risk students and families to community resources.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Social Work Counseling or Psychology preferred.
- Experience working with adolescents preferred.
- Experience with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) preferred.
- Ability to motivate non-traditional learners.
- Ability to role model positive adult and student behaviors.
- Demonstrate skill and sensitivity in working with all members of the school community.
