Job Summary

We are now accepting resume/applications for a Fitter for the Harvey LAand surroundingarea. Duties/Responsibilitiesmay/may not be limited tothe following:

Scope of Work:
- Assist in building wharfs/decks
Required Skills:
- Ability to use electric & hand tools efficiently
- Carpentry skills REQUIRED
- Fitting skill
- Punctuality
- Strong oral & written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with others
- Proven ability to solve problems creatively
- Excellent organizational skills abilityto multi-task
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Using rigging hardware and cranes to erect install and level building frameworks.
- Measuring shaping and also cutting plastic wood fiberglass and other construction materials throughout the project.
- Transport merchandise between receiving stations warehouse and production areas.
- Record the material amount or count received and circulated.
- Maintain industry vehicles and material handling equipment in safe and good working condition.
- Operate manual material handling equipment such as hand jacks and wheeled carts safely.
- Maintain the work area clean safe and organized.
- Lift and carry merchandises/material as needed.
- Inspect merchandise upon delivery to identify any damages.
- Load and unload merchandise to and from trailers.
- Mange housekeeping activities when requested.
  - Maintain the work area clean safe and organized.
  - Assist in waste disposal and recycling activities
  - Cleanup work area and equipment after work is completed.
- Execute daily work instructions received from Supervisor in a timely manner.
- Work effectively to meet or exceed productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards.
  - Practicesafety procedures in accordance with training and guidelines when working.
  - Comply with company policies and legal guidelines helping to maintain a safe and orderly work environment
  - Meet quality and performance requirements as outlined by quality assurance and production standards
  - Report safety hazards quality and production issues to management immediately
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and/or dragup to 55 lbs
- Must have good endurance
- Will be required to bend stoop squat crouch kneel and crawl to perform task
- Ability to work in varying hot and cold environments
  - Ability to work in cramped and/or confined spaces when required
  - Ability to work in an environments with exposures to dust dirt and various other debris metal and paint fumes gases
  - While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to high precarious places and outside weather conditions
  - The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock

Must have reliable transportation
Must be able to pass a drug screen
Pay:
- TBD (DOE)
- Weekly Pay
- Pay Schedule: Monday - Sunday
Schedule:
- 10-12 Hour Days (with weather permitting)
- Monday - Friday
- Weekends (as needed)
