About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Employment Law Attorney to join a dynamic full-service law firm with a strong regional presence. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of advising employers on compliance handling litigation and providing strategic counsel on workplace matters. This is an opportunity to work with a collaborative team serving clients across diverse industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent employers in state and federal courts on employment-related litigation including discrimination harassment wrongful termination and wage/hour disputes.
- Advise clients on compliance with federal state and local employment laws (ADA FMLA Title VII wage/hour regulations).
- Draft and review employment agreements handbooks and workplace policies.
- Conduct internal investigations and provide guidance on disciplinary actions and terminations.
- Deliver training and proactive counseling to HR teams and management on best practices and regulatory updates.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Ohio Bar (or eligibility for admission).
- 3 years of experience in employment law including litigation and counseling.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment statutes and regulations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience representing management-side clients.
- Familiarity with collective bargaining and labor relations.
- Strong business acumen and client service orientation.
