About the Role
We are hiring German-speaking Customer Support Agent to join an exciting international retail customer service project based in Umhlanga Durban.
In this role you will support German-speaking customers by providing professional assistance across multiple channels ensuring an excellent retail and shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Support Agent you will:
- Handle customer queries in German via phone email and live chat
- Assist customers with retail-related inquiries such as orders deliveries returns and product information
- Provide prompt accurate and friendly service in line with brand expectations
- Resolve customer complaints and escalate complex cases when necessary
- Maintain detailed records of all interactions in internal systems
- Meet service quality productivity and customer satisfaction targets
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to enhance customer experience
Requirements
To qualify for this role you should meet the following criteria:
- German language proficiency between B2 and C2 level (written and spoken)
- Good command of English for internal communication
- Matric / Grade 12 qualification is essential
- Customer service or call center experience is advantageous (retail experience is a plus)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced customer-focused environment
- Comfortable working rotational shifts including weekends if required
- Basic computer skills and ability to navigate support systems
