What You Will Achieve
In this role you will:
Lead and co-lead moderately complex projects managing time and resources to meet objectives and apply skills and discipline knowledge to contribute to departmental work.
Make decisions to resolve moderately complex problems develop new options guided by policies and operate independently in ambiguous situations.
Work independently on assignments receive instruction on unusual problems and review your own work while mentoring others.
Collaborate with procurement specialists to negotiate contracts for goods services and supplies and oversee category management and corporate services procurement.
Manage the entire sourcing process from project initiation to supplier management and guide operational teams in project management and resource planning.
Facilitate agreements between teams drive new concepts and methodologies and build strong relationships with Global Procurement Sourcing colleagues and leaders.
Achieve annual targets including savings and Working Capital objectives and develop regional synergies with local supplier and market intelligence.
Provide site-based plans to align category strategy manage supplier selection and quality and oversee supplier management of change.
Lead contract negotiations to meet price quality and service standards and ensure effective communication with key stakeholders.
Support Diversity and Inclusion objectives develop supply chain risk assessments drive risk mitigation operations and benchmark industry best practices for adoption within Pfizer.
Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
BA/BS with at least 4 years of experience or MBA/MS with at least 2 years of experience or PhD/JD with any years of experience or associates degree with at least 8 years of experience or high School Diploma (or Equivalent) with at least 10 years of relevant experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
High level of competency with various procurement tools
Solid understanding of Project Management fundamentals
Hands-on experience in leading projects
Ability to work independently and make decisions in ambiguous situations
Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements):
Masters degree coupled with relevant pharmaceutical experience
Demonstrated proficiency in procurement systems processes and procedures
Strong business acumen and a deep understanding of the external marketplace and customer needs
Proven skills in negotiation and influencing
Experience in managing supplier relationships and contract negotiations
Ability to develop and maintain supply chain risk assessments
Experience using common AI tools including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot to support problem solving and enhance productivity. Demonstrated curiosity for exploring how these tools can improve outcomes and understanding of responsible AI practices including risk management and ethical use
