At Thales Test Engineering goes beyondtestingthe teams engage in every phase of the software development life cycleadvocate for the customerand have the skills to implement effective test strategies and E2E automation solutions. Test Engineers collaborate with Dev PMandcross-functionalteams.
The Automation Engineer willbe responsible forall testing& automationaspects of the productsincludingparticipating in all phases of the software development lifecycle andperforming hands-on activities such as; test plan design/test automation designanddevelopment oftestautomation.
The idealcandidate must be familiar with test automation processesQAmethodologiesand tools and must havea track recordofvery hightechnical competence and individual accomplishments.
Thales is working on the core of Application Security products as well as on some of the most advancedsecurity-relatedfeatures and complex technologies.
Responsibilities:
Maintain CIAutomation and release cycles.
Plan design develop and execute Python based automated tests for complex features.
Promote automation testing best practices
Be able to adoptnew technologiesfor automation deployment analysisand infrastructure.
Foster close interface with R&D groups PM Securityand analytics teams
Desired Background:
5-7years of experience in automation testing or development.
Programming skills in Python MUST.
Basic Linux and NetworkingunderstandingMUST.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab pipelines.
Understanding ofQA methodologies and test case design.
Experience with Linux scripting and remote execution Advantage.
Strong problem-solving skills willingness to learn and ability to work in a team.
Proficient in English with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
