Job Overview |
The Landscape Supervisor is responsible for planning organizing and directing the daily landscaping maintenance of the property. Supervises the operation of all equipment services and repair shop procures supplies and materials within budgetary limitations and keeps records of annual maintenance activities and costs. Prepares and presents the annual landscape maintenance budget and participates in the interviewing of possible candidates. |
General Responsibilities |
Manages landscape maintenance of entire resort including but not limited to cutting grass trimming raking pruning trees and shrubs and planting Responsible for maintaining driveways parking lots and walkways by removing debris litter snow and ice. Performs basic maintenance on equipment and manages repairs. Maintains work schedules and labor to meet or exceed the budget. Responsible for daily/weekly/monthly reporting of labor and expenses. Purchases parts material and supplies for all scheduled landscape maintenance projects. Builds positive relationships with owners and guests on property. Maintains high standards of personal appearance for the department. |

Discretion/Independent Judgment This position does represent the company in handling complaints arbitrating disputes or resolving grievances. As a Landscaping Supervisor you will be expected to work with Associates and visitors to ensure satisfaction. A Landscaping Supervisor will have to take initiative and get creative in resolving challenges and involve a manager when previous methods have been unsuccessful. Job Qualifications |
Education: |
High school and/or trade school required. |
Experience: Minimum 5 years of direct experience in the landscaping field Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Working knowledge of landscape and irrigation installation maintenance and repair. Knowledge of Word and Excel preferred. Must be organized and detail oriented. Required decision making skills and ability to supervise others. |
License/Qualifications: Back Flow Device and Pesticide Application preferred. Must have valid Oregon drivers license. Must meet physical requirements of the position. |

Ability to speak and hear Close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Frequent standing with some walking and sitting at times Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours). Be able to reach bend stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift/move 100 pounds. Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills |
Working Conditions |
Generally in an outdoor setting. Will be using a computer occasionally. Varying schedule to include evenings holidays and extended hours as business dictates. While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to heat/cold from the mechanical equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. |
