Job Summary
AZZ has an exciting 1st shift opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor at our St. Louis facility. Reporting to the Plant Manager you will coordinate and supervise day-to-day duties of maintenance staff. You will oversee and perform maintenance services in the areas of plumbing electrical welding construction and/or machine servicing.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coaches and mentors maintenance staff and assists them to diagnose more complex problems with machinery or equipment problems.
- Inspects completed work to check that repairs have been completed correctly and that machinery and equipment conform to specifications and safety standards.
- Monitors the condition of maintenance equipment materials parts and tools that are used by maintenance workers in their day-to-day activities.
- Trains new employees in the organizations operating procedures and standards.
- Counsels employees about work-related issues and assists employees to correct job-skill deficiencies.
- Monitors employees work levels and reviews work performance.
Qualifications :
- 1 2 years related experience required.
- PLC knowledge required.
- Knowledge of hot dip galvanizing steel fabrication or other custom metal coating operations is preferred.
- Experience with HV 480 electricity cranes hoists and forklifts strongly preferred.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
Minimum Education
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
