Duration: 6 weeks (Possible Extension)

Pay Rate: $24/hour (W2)
Position Summary
The Certified Medical Assistant provides both front-office and back-office clinical support in a fast-paced healthcare setting. This role involves direct patient interaction clinical procedures administrative tasks and coordination with clinical staff to ensure efficient and high-quality patient care. Strong collaboration with the care team is essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities
Greet room and assist patients during clinic visits
Take and record vital signs accurately
Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture procedures
Administer vaccines and assist with point-of-care (POC) testing
Conduct EKGs as required
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
Answer phones and assist with front-office duties
Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
Provide general clinical and administrative support as needed
Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (excluding externship)
Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred
Occupational Health experience strongly preferred
Required experience with phlebotomy/venipuncture and EMR systems
Strong attention to detail and effective patient communication skills
Proficient computer skills
Must-Have Skills & Certifications
Front-office and back-office experience
Phlebotomy
EKG
Point-of-care (POC) testing
Scheduling and patient coordination
Rooming patients and taking vitals
Active BLS or CPR certification
