Position Overview
Trinity Healthcare Talent Services is seeking a Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a 13-week assignment in Frederick Maryland.
This role is based in a fast-paced acute care hospital where the COTA will treat a diverse patient population including orthopedic neurological behavioral health and critical care cases. The position includes a mix of 1:1 treatments ADLs and group therapy sessions.
Key Responsibilities

Provide occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist

Assist patients with ADLs therapeutic activities and functional mobility

Deliver 1:1 therapy sessions and group treatments

Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to supervising OT

Educate patients families and hospital staff
-
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems

Meet productivity standards and clinical expectations
-
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Requirements
-
Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
-
Active Maryland COTA License (or eligibility)
-
Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital experience required

BLS Certification (AHA or Red Cross)

Strong communication time management and documentation skills

Experience leading group therapy sessions

Experience in hospital-based EMR systems

Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
