Job Summary

We are seeking a flexible enthusiastic and experienced PPA Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wolverhampton starting as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about delivering high-quality cover lessons across Key Stages 1 and 2 while maintaining continuity of learning and supporting pupils progress.

The school has a strong ethos of collaboration inclusion and high expectations. Staff work together to ensure all pupils have access to engaging and challenging learning experiences. Leadership is approachable and supportive providing guidance mentoring and professional development opportunities for all teaching staff.


The Role

As a PPA Teacher you will provide cover across a range of classes during teachers PPA (Planning Preparation and Assessment) time. You will deliver pre-planned lessons or adapt schemes of work as necessary to ensure that pupils continue to progress in line with their curriculum goals. You will maintain a positive structured and inclusive learning environment and support pupils academic social and emotional development.

You will work collaboratively with class teachers teaching assistants and senior leaders to ensure consistency across the school and uphold high expectations for behaviour and learning. Effective communication with teachers and staff is essential to provide feedback on pupil engagement progress and any additional support required.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality lessons across KS1 and KS2 during PPA periods

  • Follow schemes of work and lesson plans adapting as needed

  • Maintain a structured positive and inclusive classroom environment

  • Promote independence resilience and positive learning behaviours

  • Support pupils academic social and emotional development

  • Collaborate effectively with teachers teaching assistants and senior leaders

  • Provide clear feedback on pupil progress engagement and behaviour

  • Contribute to staff meetings CPD sessions and school initiatives

  • Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures at all times


Who Were Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Have experience teaching across multiple Key Stages ideally KS1 and KS2

  • Be confident flexible and adaptable in the classroom

  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills

  • Be proactive reflective and collaborative

  • Show a strong commitment to inclusion safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
