We are seeking a passionate dedicated and experienced Year 2 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Sittingbourne starting as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who loves Key Stage 1 and is committed to providing high-quality lessons that inspire challenge and support pupils in their learning journey.

As a Year 2 Teacher you will plan deliver and assess engaging lessons across the Key Stage 1 curriculum. You will foster positive learning behaviours build pupils confidence and independence and ensure that every child has the support they need to succeed. You will collaborate closely with teaching assistants colleagues and parents to maintain consistency and high standards.
Key Responsibilities
Plan deliver and assess high-quality lessons across the Year 2 curriculum
Deliver effective literacy numeracy and foundation subject teaching
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils including SEND and EAL
Promote independence resilience and positive behaviour in the classroom
Maintain a structured inclusive and engaging learning environment
Track pupil progress and maintain accurate assessment records
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and colleagues
Communicate regularly with parents and carers regarding pupil progress
Contribute to staff meetings CPD sessions and whole-school initiatives
Support enrichment activities and extra-curricular opportunities
Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are strictly followed
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching Key Stage 1 ideally Year 2
Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills
Be reflective adaptable and proactive
Show a strong commitment to inclusion safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
Work collaboratively as part of a professional and supportive team
