Year 3 Teacher – Basildon

We are seeking an enthusiastic experienced and committed Year 3 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Basildon starting as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about Key Stage 2 and enjoys delivering engaging high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge pupils.

The school has a strong ethos of collaboration inclusion and high expectations. Staff work closely together to ensure all pupils including those with SEND and EAL are supported to achieve their full potential academically socially and emotionally. Senior leadership is approachable supportive and committed to staff development providing mentoring guidance and training opportunities.

As a Year 3 Teacher you will plan deliver and assess lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum. You will foster positive learning behaviours build pupils confidence and independence and ensure that every child receives the support they need to succeed. Collaboration with teaching assistants colleagues and parents is central to maintaining high standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan deliver and assess high-quality lessons across the Year 3 curriculum

• Deliver engaging literacy numeracy and foundation subject lessons

• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils including SEND and EAL

• Promote independence resilience and positive behaviour

• Maintain a structured inclusive and engaging classroom environment

• Track pupil progress and maintain accurate assessment records

• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and colleagues

• Communicate regularly with parents and carers regarding pupil progress

• Contribute to staff meetings CPD sessions and whole-school initiatives

• Support enrichment activities and extra-curricular opportunities

• Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Have experience teaching in Key Stage 2 ideally Year 3

• Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills

• Be reflective proactive and adaptable

• Show a strong commitment to inclusion safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

• Work collaboratively as part of a professional and supportive team
