We are seeking a passionate experienced and enthusiastic KS2 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Southampton starting as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys teaching Upper Key Stage 2 and is committed to delivering engaging high-quality lessons that challenge and inspire pupils academically socially and emotionally.

As a KS2 Teacher you will plan deliver and assess lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum. You will foster positive learning behaviours build pupils confidence and independence and ensure every child receives the support they need to thrive. Collaboration with teaching assistants colleagues and parents is central to maintaining high standards.
Key Responsibilities
Plan deliver and assess high-quality lessons across KS2
Deliver engaging literacy numeracy and foundation subject lessons
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils including SEND and EAL
Promote independence resilience and positive behaviour
Maintain a structured inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
Track pupil progress and maintain accurate assessment records
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants colleagues and senior leaders
Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress
Contribute to staff meetings CPD sessions and whole-school initiatives
Support enrichment activities school events and extra-curricular opportunities
Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are strictly followed
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching Upper Key Stage 2
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Be reflective proactive and adaptable
Show a strong commitment to inclusion safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
Work collaboratively as part of a professional supportive team
