Job Summary
Job Summary (List Format) PV&V Electrification Test Engineer
- Position: Onsite 1st Shift 12-month contract (potential extension) Fargo ND
- Eligibility: US Citizen or Permanent Resident only; no visa sponsorship
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and format test requirements from customers; review and provide feedback.
- Perform and oversee Product Verification & Validation (PV&V) testing for power electronic products.
- Maintain accurate documentation of testing results and schedule progress; communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Utilize troubleshooting and debugging strategies to support root cause analysis with team assistance.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional project team members especially in power electronics.
- Travel domestically as needed (1 2 times/year) to meet customers and refine requirements.
- Support other departmental needs as assigned.
Required Education:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Agricultural or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent accredited program).
Required Skills & Experience:
- Basic understanding of embedded controllers and design validation.
- Knowledge of safe high-voltage practices.
- Familiarity with motor control and system testing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (English).
- Good organization and multi-tasking abilities.
- Customer service orientation.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Experience in product development and motor control software (PU2).
- Familiarity with dynos development/debugging tools (oscilloscope multimeter etc.).
- Experience with microcontroller systems (PWM outputs A/D converters etc.).
- Knowledge of communication networks and protocols (CAN Ethernet J1939 TCP/IP etc.).
