Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist (Medical Instrument Technician)

Duration: 1-year base contract with up to four (4) option years
Shift Schedule: 8- 9- or 10-hour shifts (4 5 days/week) including rotating weekends and federal holidays. On-call overtime and callback coverage may be required as needed.
How many shifts needed per month: Approximately full-time coverage (1.0 FTE 2080 hours/year per technologist)
Credentialing / Onboarding time: 6 weeks to 8 weeks
License: ARDMS
Certifications:
- ARDMS (Abdomen/Small Parts)
- Additional certifications required (RVT OB/GYN MSK etc.)
- BCLS
Experience needed:
- Minimum 3 years hospital ultrasound experience (US-based)
- Must have worked as an Ultrasound Tech in the last 6 months
- Vascular ultrasound experience required
Special Skills needed:
- Abdomen pelvic scrotal GYN and small parts ultrasound
- Doppler studies and U/S-guided biopsies
- Independent decision-making and emergency scanning
Responsibilities:
- Perform standard and complex ultrasound exams
- Ensure image quality and PACS transmission
- Coordinate scheduling and emergency cases
- Maintain patient records and exam documentation
- Communicate critical findings to radiologists
- Participate in after-hours and on-call coverage
Misc:
- Must commit to minimum 6 months
