Role Description

The Field Service Technician is a full-time on-site position based in Mundelein IL. Responsibilities include installing maintaining and repairing PVD coating systems; conducting diagnostics; troubleshooting technical issues; and providing hands-on training to customers. The role also involves performing regular servicing and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance maintaining comprehensive service records and delivering exceptional customer support. Travel to customer sites may be required.

Qualifications

Technical knowledge in equipment maintenance diagnostics and repair; experience with coating technologies or similar technical equipment is preferred
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to address mechanical electrical and software-related system issues effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to clearly convey technical information and provide high-quality customer support
Ability to work independently manage time effectively and adapt to a dynamic work environment with travel requirements
Degree or certification in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related technical field preferred
Previous experience working with PVD coating systems or industrial equipment is a plus
Familiarity with safety practices and regulations with a strong focus on workplace and operational safety
