About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator with strong commercial construction estimating experience to support project bid development and cost analysis across interior systems carpentry drywall finish ceilings and architectural millwork packages. This individual will work closely with project management field operations and subcontractor partners to develop accurate competitive estimates that align with client requirements and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities -
Review and analyze construction drawings specifications and related documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.

Perform quantity takeoffs for carpentry acoustical ceilings drywall casework and related interior components.

Produce detailed cost breakdowns labor and material cost calculations subcontractor pricing comparisons and risk assessments.

Solicit evaluate and negotiate quotes from subcontractors and vendors.

Assist in the preparation of bid proposals ensuring completeness accuracy and competitiveness.

Collaborate with project managers and field personnel to validate scopes assumptions and pricing strategies.

Maintain historical estimate databases and cost benchmarks; track trends in labor material and equipment pricing.

Support pre-bid meetings RFI responses and value engineering efforts as needed.

Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes tools and templates.
Key Qualifications -
Experience: Minimum 5 years commercial construction estimating with a strong focus on interior finish packages (carpentry drywall ceilings architectural millwork).

Technical Skills: Proficiency in construction takeoff and estimating software (e.g. Planswift Bluebeam Sage Estimating or similar).

Analytical Ability: Strong analytical and math skills with attention to detail.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of working with internal teams and subcontractors.

Organization: Ability to manage multiple bids under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.

Education: Bachelors degree in Construction Management Engineering Architecture or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).

Knowledge: Familiarity with regional construction practices labor costs material pricing and subcontractor networks preferred.
