JOB SUMMARY
The Flooring Estimators primary responsibility would be to gather assess and estimate the cost of flooring projects. This position works closely with other departments to ensure key outcomes and timelines. This is not a remote role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Preparing proposals along with communicating to our vendors for pricing.
- Create templates for jobs.
- Perform take-offs and prepare proposals using estimating software and Microsoft excel.
- Receive requests for estimating and gathering necessary information such as plans specifications bid manuals change orders and revisions to projects in progress.
- Ability to work independently manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Follow company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines policies and procedures and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing hiring and training employees; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
