Job Summary

Our client operates in the energy and infrastructure sector delivering complex high-value projects in a highly regulated environment. Legal plays a central role in how the business operates - from commercial contracting through to compliance governance and risk.

Theyre looking for a Legal Counsel to join a strong collaborative in-house legal team on a parental leave cover. Youll handle a broad range of commercial and corporate legal matters working closely with stakeholders across the business and providing clear practical legal advice that supports day-to-day decision-making.

Its a hands-on role with real responsibility exposure to senior stakeholders and the backing of a team that values clarity ownership and good judgement.

Tasks

Be the first point of contact for legal issues across sales procurement disputes corporate governance and compliance.
Draft review and negotiate commercial contracts and legal documents that protect the business.
Provide clear commercial legal advice to internal stakeholders - not just risks but pragmatic solutions.
Drive compliance with laws internal policies and contractual obligations across the business.
Maintain and refine Terms & Conditions flag risk and put mitigation in place.
Manage and coordinate external lawyers when specialist input is needed.
Support corporate governance and statutory legal obligations

Requirements

A German-qualified lawyer (Volljurist/in) with strong commercial experience in a corporate legal environment (contracts compliance corporate law).
Excellent communicator - you explain legal issues without jargon and get buy-in.
Comfortable working in an international team with a proactive structured approach.
