Job Summary

Our client is seeking a proactive and solutions-driven IT Administrator to take ownership of their IT environment ensuring seamless network performance reliable hardware infrastructure and efficient day-to-day systems support. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enabling business continuity and operational excellence across the organisation with specific exposure to Odoo and Pastel being highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain company networks including LAN/WAN routers switches Wi-Fi and firewalls.
Install configure and support desktops laptops printers servers and related hardware.
Provide first-line and second-line technical support to users resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
Administer and support basic business software systems including Odoo ERP and Pastel Accounting packages.
Monitor system performance data backups antivirus protection and security protocols.
Maintain IT documentation asset registers and user access controls.
Liaise with external service providers and vendors when escalations or specialist support is required.
Support system upgrades rollouts and basic user training where necessary.
Ensure compliance with company IT policies and cybersecurity best practices.

Key Skills

Proven experience in an IT Administrator or similar technical support role.
Strong working knowledge of network management and troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience with computer hardware installation and maintenance.
Basic software support experience ideally including Odoo and Pastel.
Understanding of operating systems such as Windows Server and desktop environments.
Good grasp of cybersecurity fundamentals and backup procedures.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to prioritise workload and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

IT-related diploma or degree.
Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA A Network Microsoft or similar) would be an added advantage.
ERP system support exposure beyond Odoo is a plus.
