Job Summary
Role: Senior Project Manager
Location: Sacramento CA (Hybrid)
Duration: 12-month Contract and up to two additional 12-month extensions
Mandatory and Desired Qualifications
MQ 1
Type: Mandatory Qualification
Bachelors-level degree from a recognized college or university. Alternatively qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Associated Desired Qualification (DQ):
- Masters or Doctorate.
MQ 2
Type: Mandatory Qualification
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI). The PMP certification is required and may not be substituted with additional experience.
Associated Desired Qualification (DQ):
- None (PMP is mandatory).
MQ 3
Type: Mandatory Qualification
A minimum of seven (7) years of broad extensive and increasingly responsible project management experience applying project management principles methods techniques and tools on IT projects. At least four (4) years of that experience must have been in a senior project manager capacity on large and complex IT projects.
Associated Desired Qualification (DQ):
- Eight (8) or more years of experience; five (5) or more years in a senior project manager capacity.
MQ 4
Type: Mandatory Qualification
A minimum of four (4) years of experience providing diverse technical and management services to government agencies.
Associated Desired Qualification (DQ):
- Five (5) or more years of experience.
MQ 5
Type: Mandatory Qualification
A minimum of four (4) years of experience in team building knowledge transfer and/or mentoring.
Associated Desired Qualification (DQ):
- Five (5) or more years of experience.
MQ 6
Type: Mandatory Qualification
A minimum of four (4) years of experience leading and facilitating team meetings.
Associated Desired Qualification (DQ):
- Five (5) or more years of experience.
MQ 7
Type: Mandatory Qualification
A minimum of four (4) years of experience in the following:
- Schedule management and Microsoft (MS) Project
- Risk and issue management
- Stakeholder management
- Scope and change management
- Business process review and gap analysis
- Consulting experience for a project worth at least $5M
- Experience as a lead on an Agile-based project using Agile tools e.g. JIRA or equivalent technologies
Associated Desired Qualification (DQ):
- Five (5) or more years of experience in all listed areas.
