About the Role

Best Start Family Hubs bring together services that support children young people and families across Leicestershire. We are looking for Two proactive friendly and organised Centre Support Assistants to help ensure our Family Hubs are welcoming wellrun and responsive to the needs of our communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a welcoming reception service to children parents carers and professionals visiting the Family Hub.
  • Support the smooth running of the centre including opening/closing procedures maintaining resources and ensuring spaces are clean safe and ready for use. Ensuring displays are current attractive and reflect our commitment to EDI.
  • Handle general administrative tasks such as managing enquiries booking appointments maintaining records and supporting data collection.
  • Assist practitioners with setting up groups activities and events for families.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across Early Help Health and partner agencies.
  • Contribute to the overall safeguarding culture of the service by following procedures and reporting concerns appropriately.
  • Promote services available through Best Start Family Hubs and signpost families to relevant support.

As a Centre Support Assistant you will be a key first point of contact for families visiting the Hub. Youll help create a warm inclusive environment and provide essential administrative and practical support to the team delivering early help health and family services.

This is a varied hands-on role where no two days are the same.

An enhanced with barred list DBS check is required for this post.

About You

To apply for this post you must:

  • Administration experience including: Reception duties message taking and relaying maintaining record systems producing electronic reports and correspondence and data entry using spreadsheets.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures confidentiality requirements and effective use of social media for communication.
  • Numeracy skills sufficient to collate statistical information and literacy skills to produce highquality written materials suitable for different audiences.
  • Clear communication skills including a professional telephone manner and the ability to engage confidently engage with parents young people and children.
  • Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team and with a range of professionals.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office applications including Word Access Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to produce accurate work to deadlines and manage competing priorities.

You must also have an understanding of and commitment toequality diversity and inclusion.
