The candidate need to know following aspects of painting process.

1) Should know various defects in painting and what are their reasons.

2) What parameters to be kept to ensure good quality painting

3) Varity of masking methods

4) Various methods of surface preparation for Carbon Steel Aluminium and Stainless Steel

5) How to know that surface preparation is done well

6) Purpose of Primer coat and Paint coat

7) What precautions to be taken while paint preparation before spraying the primer or paint

8) How to ensure painting is adequately done in the in-accessible areas

9) How to ensure sharp edges/ corners are well painted

10) How the paints are cured Different types of paints

11) What to check to know painting quality is good

12) In case of damage to paint film how to correct the same

13) How to get good gloss on painted surface

14) What PPE to be used while painting and why

15) Which fire extinguishers are suitable near painting area

16) What to do with waste paint/ paint soaked filters
