Full Job DescriptionOur client is a highly respected well established and efficient civil commercial and residential earthworks and drainage contracting company. We’re in the market for an additional Project Manager for the team. This position will report to the Managing Director and liaise with other senior staff including site staff Site Foreman and Estimators.
Their services include:
- Earthworks Civil work Commercial & Residential drainage.
- Subdivisions/Land Development including all earthworks drainage watermains. & roading.
- New Housing for all aspects of drainage and earthworks
The job description would include (but not limited to) the following:
- Delivery of contracts to ensure budgets and time-frames are met.
- Working with Quantity surveyor to ensure monthly claims are completed thoroughly.
- Scheduling of staff sub contractors and equipment to ensure jobs run efficiently.
- Communicate confidently with clients engineers council representatives and on the ground staff.
- Be able to work out cut levels and accurately set out house sites
- Practical and machine operating experience would be looked upon favourably
- Ensure all works are completed to the required standards.
- Recording of all QA and testing requirements.
- Ensure all H&S requirements are prepared for individual jobs and ensure these requirements are carried out on-site.
- This role requires working in with longstanding clients. You must have excellent communication skills and a positive and problem solving approach.
The preferred applicant should have the following:
- At least 5 years experience in earthworks and 2 years project management experience.
- Must be a good buggar and be able to lead from the front.
- Be able to work confidently with different personalities and create a positive and happy work environment.
- Have good computer skills
- You must have NZ residency in place to be considered for this position
