Oaks Queenstown Shores Resort are looking for an enthusiastic and service-driven Restaurant Manager to join our team on a full-time basis.
This role is essential in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and bar ensuring exceptional guest experiences efficient service and the development of the Food & Beverage team. The successful candidate will predominantly work evening shifts and must be available to work weekends as required.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Organises and controls the operations of a cafe restaurant or related establishment to provide dining services
- Oversee and ensure smooth efficient and professional daily operations of the restaurant & bar.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the propertys food and beverage offerings to promote to guests.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team during service periods to ensure quality service presentation and guest satisfaction.
- Supervise coach and train Food & Beverage Attendants fostering a high-performing team.
- Manage staff rostering workflow and service standards to ensure operational efficiency.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with hygiene and workplace health & safety standards.
- Assist with stock control ordering and reporting as required.
- Drive guest satisfaction service excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
Shift Details (subject to change):
- Shifts to be worked in accordance with a rotating roster
- Managers Certificate and Licence Controller Qualification (LCQ) preferred but not essential
Expected minimum hours: 30 hours per week
Location: 327/343 Frankton Road Queenstown 9300 New Zealand
Hourly range: $33 - $35NZD per hour. (excluding contributions to KiwiSaver). Payment of wages will be processed on a fortnightly basis by direct credit to your nominated bank account.
Annual salary approximate: $51480 - $54600 (excluding contributions to KiwiSaver).

Period of Notice: Four weeks
Qualifications :
Successful candidates will have:
- 12 months supervisory or managerial experience in a similar role.
- Managers Certificate and Licence Controller Qualification (LCQ) preferred but not essential
- Solid understanding of alcohol service.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a positive and professional attitude.
- High level of self-motivation confidence and leadership capability.
- Diploma in Hospitality Management or similar qualification (preferred but not essential).
- Availability to work evenings weekends and public holidays as required.
