Job Summary

  • Ensure daily cash and position reconciliations are delivered to the client while adhering to the agreed upon service level agreement
  • Review daily cash forecasting and other client reporting requirements
  • Query security master and lifecycle event related issues to the Data Management team for resolution
  • Liaising with banks brokers and custodians to ensure smooth service delivery to customers and timely completion of deliverables
  • Participate actively in various system initiatives and projects
  • Respond to all client queries in a timely and efficient manner through communication directly with client operational staff on a daily basis
  • Train new staff on all aspects of the reconciliation process
  • Assist in the co-ordination of resources with Trade Operations and Data Management teams to ensure that all work is carried out and SLA met on a day to day basis
  • Support trading operations between the front and back office from post-execution through to settlement
  • Monitor third party matching systems and Custodian portals to ensure proper matching and settlement across a variety of asset types
  • Coordinate and resolve trade related disputes and breaks with Prime Brokers Custodians executing brokers and Investment Managers
  • Process mandatory and voluntary corporate actions liaising with Investment Managers in the case of voluntary corporate actions
  • Respond and solve enquires regarding financial instruments corporate actions trade breaks lifecycle events and other front office system related issues
  • Input and review wires at custodian with high accuracy
  • Maintain Collateral Management system for existing and new client trading relationships
  • Respond to incoming collateral calls and recall excess collateral
  • Ensure adequate cross training and cover in place for all services provided to client.
  • Rigorously follow internal control processes and suggest improvements to workflows in order to reduce risk and increase automation

Qualifications :

  • Have a minimum of five years experience in the Financial Services or Fund Adminsitration industry with experience in a trade operations role being a plus
  • University Degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience
  • Strong computer skills with strengths in Microsoft Office products. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is particularly an asset.
  • Proven investigative analytical and problem solving skills
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to guide newer team members whilst also being hands on in technical work within multiple systems
