Job Summary
Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager Apparel (Sweater & Denim Focus)
Location: Cambodia (Must have hands-on factory experience in the region)
About the Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced and hands-on QA Manager to lead and elevate quality assurance across our apparel product lines. The successful candidate will be a technical expert in sweaters and denim with a proven track record of managing quality and compliance directly within Cambodian factories. You will own the quality program drive factory improvement and mentor a team to ensure our products meet the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assume full ownership of end-to-end quality assurance for assigned product categories.
- Implement audit and maintain robust QA systems and factory compliance programs in line with legal customer and corporate requirements.
- Train and coach factory partners on quality standards SOPs and support them through certification processes.
- Assess and evaluate factory performance capabilities and compliance to ensure they meet sourcing and quality agreements.
- Lead develop and mentor a team of Quality Controllers ensuring consistent application of QA standards on the ground.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Sourcing Production Technical) to proactively resolve quality issues related to fit wash fabric and construction.
- Conduct frequent factory visits audits and inspections to monitor production mitigate risks and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of QA experience within the apparel manufacturing industry.
- Extensive technical expertise in sweaters and strong knowledge of denim including fit wash fabric and construction.
- Direct hands-on experience working with and managing quality in factories located in Cambodia.
- Solid background in factory compliance social/ethical standards and quality management systems.
- Proven leadership skills with experience in building training and managing effective QA teams.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented and results-driven approach.
- Strong communicator with excellent spoken and written English.
- Proficiency in spoken and/or written Chinese (Mandarin).
- Experience with intimate apparel or other relevant product categories.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently to various production sites.
