Service Technicians (Level 1 & 2) are responsible for supporting the maintenance troubleshooting and repair of critical power systems at customer sites. This role works under the guidance of senior technicians or service engineers to ensure equipment reliability safety and customer satisfaction while building hands-on technical expertise.
This position requires frequent travel on a regular basis including overnight trips mostly during the week.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on power systems UPS equipment battery systems and related components in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and internal procedures.
- Assist with diagnosing equipment issues and completing repairs under the supervision of lead technicians or service engineers.
- Replace faulty components and conduct system testing to confirm proper operation.
- Accurately document work performed including service reports and equipment records.
- Support installation commissioning battery replacement and system upgrade projects.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and use required personal protective equipment; maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Provide basic technical support to customers and communicate maintenance activities clearly and professionally.
- Participate in technical training programs to build skills and advance proficiency.
- Support an on-call rotation for emergency service calls as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certifications preferred.
- 03 years of experience in electrical electronic or power equipment maintenance or a related field.
- Foundational knowledge of electrical systems electronics and power equipment.
- Ability to use standard electrical tools and test equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with developing troubleshooting skills.
- Willingness to learn and grow within a technical service environment.
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass background checks for access to customer facilities.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds independently and up to 50 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to work in industrial environments such as data centers hospitals and manufacturing facilities.
- Ability to climb ladders work in confined spaces and stand for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity required for electrical connections and component replacement.
DOT Medical Qualification Card required.
Pay: $23.50-$29/hr
