JOB SUMMARY
The Compensation & Benefits Analyst is responsible for supporting the administration analysis and maintenance of the Companys compensation and benefits programs including base pay incentive programs job architecture salary structures and health and welfare benefits.
This role focuses on accurate data analysis consistent application of policies and timely execution of compensation and benefits processes to support a competitive and compliant total rewards program.
This role requires working knowledge of compensation and benefits concepts job procedures and analytical tools. Works under moderate supervision and follows established policies and processes with guidance provided for more complex or non-standard situations. Communicates information that may require explanation or interpretation to HR partners and employees. Demonstrates integrity accountability and attention to detail; maintains confidentiality of sensitive information; and upholds BKV standards values and culture while supporting fair consistent and market-aligned compensation and benefits practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Typical job responsibilities of the Compensation & Benefits Analyst include:
Compensation
- Support annual compensation cycles including merit promotions market adjustments and incentive payouts
- Maintain and analyze job architecture salary structures compa-ratios and pay ranges
- Participate in annual compensation surveys; interpret data and make recommendations
- Prepare compensation analyses and materials including dashboards
- Partner with HR Business Partner on workforce planning budgeting and cost modeling
- Ensure compensation practices align with internal equity external competitiveness and compliance standards
- Assist with equity administration activities including grant tracking vesting schedules reporting and coordination with external equity administrators
- Support payroll-related compensation reporting including audits reconciliations and ad hoc data requests to ensure accuracy and compliance
Benefits
- Support the administration of health welfare retirement and wellness programs
- Assist with Open Enrollment activities including system setup testing employee communications and post-enrollment audits
- Support benefits renewals through data collection cost modeling and preparation of comparison materials
- Administer company leave programs including FMLA state and local leave requirements and company-sponsored leaves; manage end-to-end leave processes coordinate with third-party leave vendors ensure accurate tracking and reporting and maintain compliance with applicable regulations while delivering a consistent employee experience
- Coordinate with benefits vendors and internal partners to resolve employee inquiries and issues
- Assist with benefits compliance activities including documentation reporting and audits (e.g. ACA ERISA COBRA)
- Maintain accurate benefits data and support ongoing process improvements
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and job-related applications including Excel PowerPoint and Smartsheet
- Experience working with compensation surveys and benchmarking data
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated interpersonal collaboration and communication skills
- Demonstrated attention to detail organization and prioritization skills

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration Finance Economics or a related field required
- 2-5 years of experience in compensation benefits HR analytics or related HR function
- Experience working and basic configuration of HRIS and compensation/benefits systems preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORKING CONDITIONS
- This position may be based in the BKV Office in Denver Colorado or Fort Worth TX.
- Hybrid work will be considered.
Work Environment
- Primarily office-based with standard business hours; extended hours may be required depending on business needs. May occasionally be exposed to distracting noise while sharing office space with others.
Physical Demands
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to operate a computer telephone and other office equipment
- Ability to occasionally lift carry push or pull up to 25 pounds
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
ANNUAL SALARY
- Salary Range: $70000 - $128000
- Short-term Incentive: 20%
