Job Summary
Join Our Team as a Locum NP/PA in Trauma Surgery
We are seeking a dedicated Locum Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dynamic trauma surgery team in Robbinsdale Minnesota. This practice setting primarily functions as a trauma hospitalist rounder with responsibilities that may include ED consultations trauma activations and procedures. With a Level I trauma center designation this facility boasts a supportive environment staffed by experienced trauma surgeons available 24/7. Enjoy the experience of caring for a diverse patient demographic while managing cases across all ages from pediatric to geriatric.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responding to the ED for Trauma Alerts
- Facilitating patient discharges and ER admissions
- Daily rounding and management of all patient conditions without hospitalists
- Performing required procedures such as chest tube insertion and central line placement
- Documenting patient care effectively using the EPIC EMR system
Qualifications:
- Board Certified (ACNP AGNP PA-C) - REQUIRED
- Minimum of 1 year of practice as an APP in the inpatient setting ideally with experience in trauma or ICU
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
License and Certification Requirements:
- Current Minnesota License - REQUIRED
- ATLS ACLS PALS certifications - REQUIRED
- DEA - Verbal Confirmation at time of name clear - REQUIRED
- A self-query NPDB report required at submission - REQUIRED
