Description

This contract position is on-site and provides an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced medical practice environment where patient care and quality are paramount.

In this role you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality critical care services collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Your expertise will directly contribute to the care of patients in critical condition playing a vital role in their recovery and overall health management.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments in critical care settings
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Administer medications and perform necessary procedures
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress and response to treatment
  • Provide patient and family education on health management
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Document patient care activities accurately and timely

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Nursing or related field
  • Current NP or PA license in the state of Virginia
  • Experience in critical care settings preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
  • Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Schedule: Tuesday-Sunday 7a-4p
  • No call requirement

Setting: Intermediate care unit (IMCU)

Patient Census: 8-12 per day

Primarily post-op CTS patients with some pre-op management

Support Staff: APP

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
