Job Overview
As an Engineering Technician youll play a key role in supporting R&D projects and collaborating with cross-functional portfolio teams. Youll be involved in the end-to-end development of hardware prototypes contributing to the design and assembly of PCB mechanical components and software scripts. Your work will include conducting tests and experiments that drive development toward manufacturing readiness while maintaining thorough documentation and process records to track test data and results. This is a dynamic fast-paced environment where collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. Essential Functions
- Troubleshoot electronic systems to identify and resolve issues
- Diagnose and repair circuit boards
- Solder PCBs with Surface-Mounted Components (SMCs)
- Test circuit boards using oscilloscopes digital multimeters spectrum analyzers and other test equipment
- Perform SMT (Surface-Mount Technology) soldering on circuit boards
- Solder wire harnesses and making cables based on minimal documentation
- Modify circuit boards using wire jumpers and PCB trace modifications
- Support 5S and Lean processes to maintain a clean and efficient work environment
- Document test procedures and data for repeatability and consistency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of testing and projects
- Assist in the construction of testing platforms and event setups
- Review and interpret PCB layouts for accurate implementation
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Competencies
- Solid knowledge of Electrical SMT and Software
- Knowledge of Analog Digital and Power circuits
- Ability to understand schematics assembly drawings and PCB layout
- Understanding of Electrical equipment (O-Scopes DMM)
- Knowledge of SMT Soldering (Micro-soldering)
- Knowledge on Microsoft office (Excel Word Power point ect.)
- Ability to work well in a team as well as collaborate with other teams
- Able to obtain new skills quickly
- Able to work with supervision
- Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment; able to support project tasks scope change and schedules to keep technical projects on-track
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Preferred Knowledge in:
- Altium PCB layout software
- Cable wiring for RC planes
- Understanding Gas engines
- Understanding electrical motors
- J-Standard
Education / Certifications
- Associate degree in engineering or technical field preferred
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience as an engineering technician or other relevant technical field
- Equivalent documented work experience in lieu of degree may be acceptable
- Experience with troubleshooting PCBs and electrical system
