Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Laboratory Manager the Medical Laboratory Technician provides services of both a technical and non-technical nature. Performs routine and complex lab tests throughout the clinical lab to provide physicians with rapid and accurate lab test results. Duties include: preparation of specimens for processing in the lab; performance of waived moderate and highly complex analytical process; establishing performing and documenting quality assurance and control; equipment maintenance; recognizing problems and identifying causes and determining solutions; confirming and verifying results through knowledge of techniques principles and instruments; correlating and interpreting data based on knowledge of factors affecting test results.
