Training & Development Specialist Role: The Training & Development Specialist will help to improve overall employee effectiveness and performance through the application of individual and group training techniques and programs consistent with the Credit Unions organizational priorities. Participates in the development of in-house training programs while conducting classroom and assisting with on-the-job training. To work with the Training Manager in creating and updating the current training materials. To assist with the testing process of new programing and maintain the e-learning platform for the credit union. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: - Creates organizes plans and presents various forms of onboarding orientation and skills training for employees. Conducts new hire and progressive training. Creates and edits training procedure manuals guides and course materials.
- Maintains records of training and development activities attendance results of tests and assessments and retraining requirements. Develops training activities mock scenarios and training games.
- Assists with Compliance training and the e-learning site.
- Assists Training Manager with various projects and initiatives.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements: - To maintain an excellent understanding of the credit unions mission and help develop the appropriate training materials.
- To be proactive in the creation and implementation of training material job aides and activities.
- To meet training objectives and goals established for the year complete reports and records accurately and in a timely manner.
- To provide friendly professional and accurate service and support to members and associates.
- To be a team player and assist team members as needed.
- To effectively manage time by prioritizing tasks meeting deadlines and ensuring the timely completion of training projects and daily responsibilities.
Knowledge and Skills: ExperienceOne year to three years of similar or related experience. Previous experience in training teaching or supervising others is desired. Previous knowledge of the industry certifications and/or experience encouraged. EducationA high school education or GED. Interpersonal SkillsCourtesy tact confidentiality and diplomacy are essentials elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others for purposes of giving or obtaining information building relationships or soliciting cooperation. Enthusiasm and professionalism a must. Other SkillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong presentation skills. Ability to research and create affective training material. Ability to assist with the design and implementation of training material. Proficiency with the creation of office related program software. Physical RequirementsProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times. Must be able to stand for the duration of an eight-hour workday.
