New Relic is looking for a Sales Commission Analyst to work with and report to the Senior Manager Sales Commission. This position will be part of the Sales Commission team calculating monthly commissions accurately and timely managing our Sales Compensation tool Xactly Incent and serving as the go-to commissions business partner for various sales leaders and their organizations. The successful candidate should be a fast learner with high attention to detail and structured in their approach. They should be able to manage multiple
assignments/requests/processes concurrently prioritizing accordingly and delivering timely results and collaborate effectively with internal end-users and cross-functional teams to implement simple solutions to complex problems at a high standard.
Key job responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accurate calculations and recording of monthly commission payments and SPIFFs for sales incentive employees based on Sales Compensation plan provisions.
- Calculate and process monthly commission payments both with an Excel-based commissions model aswell as with the Sales Compensation System (Xactly Incent)
- Develop a deep understanding of sales compensation policy systems (Xactly) and reporting tools to meetsales compensation SLAs and support your business partners.
- Implement sales compensation platform updates to reflect sales hierarchy plan rules rate tables Xactly
- Collaborate with the People team Sales Operations and Payroll teams to process new hiresterminations promotions and transfers within Xactly Incent in line with plan policies and procedures and required audit guidelines
- Distribute track and report on the status of Commission Plan acceptance to ensure compliance andtimeliness
- Perform audits to ensure data integrity between Xactly Incent and the commission plan documents
- Work with Revenue Operations and People Operations to resolve any Sales Compensation-relatedquestions or issues
- Provide analytical support and ad-hoc research and analysis on other related variable pay projects asidentified by management.
- Retrieve and analyze data using Excel Tableau and other data/BI tools/platforms.
Your Qualifications - Bachelors degree in accounting Finance or Economics
- 4-5 years of working experience in sales compensation and analysis
- Strong knowledge of sales incentive compensation concepts sales data tracking processes and methodologies.
- Experience using Xactly Incent platform Salesforce
- Required to meet critical deadlines while maintaining organization and efficiency
- Comfortability with ambiguous problems curiosity and willingness to ask questions and ability to deliver results in a high-pressure fast-moving environment.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities extremely detailed oriented well organized and above average analytical skills
- Excellent verbal analytical written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel Access PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Self-starter with exemplary organizational skills. Must possess can do attitude.
- Experience in working with cross-functional/cross-departmental and virtual teams.
