The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager based in Auckland NZ. Reporting to the Business Unit Leader for Depuy Synthes this role is responsible for driving performance across our hip knee and shoulder portfolio while delivering exceptional customer service and growing market share. You will lead and develop a commercial team to achieve sales targets and key account objectives ensuring strong sales capability and effective account management. This includes enabling the team to maintain deep knowledge of their Key Account Plans and the competitive landscape to deliver on surgeon and account strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead coach and develop a highperforming team of Sales Representatives and Clinical Specialists.
  • Set clear performance expectations sales targets and ensure strong role clarity across the team.
  • Translate national marketing and sales strategies into regional execution plans and allocate resources accordingly.
  • Drive growth by developing deep market competitor and account insights across the region.
  • Oversee Key Account Planning ensuring highquality account plans regular reviews and delivery of account objectives.
  • Build strong relationships with key hospital stakeholders and clinical partners to unlock new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing CAG Prof Ed and other RSMs to align strategies and maximise commercial opportunities.
  • Manage regional budgets analyse performance data and report insights to support decisionmaking.
  • Create a positive motivating team culture rooted in high performance regular coaching and continuous development.
  • Ensure timely completion of administrative tasks reporting training and compliance obligations.
  • Uphold Johnson & Johnson compliance standards including HCBI requirements SOP adherence and accurate reporting of events and expenses.
  • Lead recruitment onboarding performance reviews and development planning for direct reports.

About You

  • Degree in a relevant discipline (business science healthcare or related field preferred).
  • Background in healthcare allied health medical devices or technical sales.
  • Valid drivers licence.
  • Minimum 6 years in external sales management with proven results or 5 years highperforming sales experience with consistently strong performance ratings.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet sales competency requirements over a sustained period (typically 2 years).
  • Business school training or commercial leadership development experience desirable.
