The Specialist Systems (Time and Attendance) role is responsible for co-ordinating from an administrative as well as systems perspective advice in respect of Time and Attendance and SAP Systems their utilisation and operational support. This role is responsible to maintain co-ordinate and optimize the usage of all the applicable software systems including SAP. The role needs to initiate appropriate interventions to optimize the performance of all the systems such as training day-to-day guidance upgrading trend analysis and report writing.
The job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Monitoring of employee systems for accuracy
- Interpretation of Systems policies and Procedures
- Provide a consultancy service to managers to resolve employees and operational queries
- Speedy and effective respond to queries or problems by Operations
- Investigation into errors that may occur during Time & Attendance processes
- Monitor systems operations identify potential problems and report
- Implement new more effective systems when required
- Provides ongoing support to Payroll and Time & Attendance Team members
- Analyse reports and data for accuracy
- Participate in System Project Teams
- Compile an accurate daily report
- Ensure that required job instructions are available to employees
- Implement and maintain applicable Safety Regulations The Act Codes of practice and standards
- Complete safety injury hazard risk and incident reports
- Establish procedures for abnormal work requirements which fall outside of standard procedures
- Ensure that accurate labour records including overtime worked are maintained
- Analyze cause of system problems and make recommendations for solutions
- Prioritize IT work requests
- Testing of changes to systems
- Update systems documentation
- Identify training needs for users
- Ensure the preservation of departmental records and statistics
- Completion of audit administration
Qualifications :
- NQF 7 bachelors degree/Advanced Diploma in Human Resource or an equivalent qualification in a related field.
- Valid Drivers License
Experience
- At least five years Human Resources experience of which two years in a specialist Time & Attendance systems role.
- SAP experience essential.
Knowledge and Skills
- The ability to create people- driven business strategy in partnership with managers and to operationalise this into an HR Systems and Information Strategy
- The ability to take a proactive approach to Time & Attendance Systems and Information Governance risk and compliance.
- Has detailed knowledge of all legislation and requirements applicable to organisation for Time & Attendance Systems and Information.
- The ability to take a systematic and integrated approach to data analytics and measurement.
- Provides Time & Attendance Systems and Information reports to line managers in own area of responsibility and interprets these as required
- The ability to attain high levels of internal customer satisfaction through the delivery of high-quality Time & Attendance products and services for the organisation.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to deliver effective training and presentations
- Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
