We are seeking a highly qualified senior project engineer to join our manufacturing facility in Soignies Belgium.
This role requires a professional who can effectively manage complex engineering projects from inception to completion.
As the senior project engineer you will be responsible for:
- Leading engineering projects through all phases from planning to execution and closure.
- Managing project costs and budgets to ensure financial objectives are met.
- Identifying and mitigating potential risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Presenting project proposals and progress reports to senior management.
- Overseeing the procurement of capital equipment for manufacturing processes.
- Developing innovative manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
- Resolving complex technical issues that arise during project execution.
- Maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols and compliance standards.
- Reviewing and approving technical drawings and specifications.
- Managing and mentoring project team members to foster professional growth.
- Serving as a technical advisor for junior engineers and project stakeholders.
- Conducting thorough technical reviews of all engineering-related project components.
- Implementing process improvements to enhance overall manufacturing capabilities.
Qualifications :
Qualifications for Senior Project Engineer
Education:
- Masters degree in Engineering (Mechanical Electrical Chemical Industrial or related field) is required.
Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering project management with a strong preference for manufacturing or factory environment expertise.
Technical Proficiencies:
- Comprehensive understanding of engineering principles and project management methodologies.
- Advanced proficiency in project management software including but not limited to Microsoft Project and Primavera.
- Demonstrated skill in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma or comparable process improvement methodologies is highly advantageous.
Essential Competencies:
- Proven leadership abilities and effective team management skills.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to articulate complex ideas to stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities crucial for navigating complex engineering challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-priority projects concurrently while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
