You will be based in a vibrant and supportive team providing Justice Services to a wide verity of case types including domestic sexual and violent offenders.
Primarily the role will be to supervise individuals on Community Payback Ordersand Structured Deferred Sentences managing both risk and compliance matters but also addressing issues around wellbeing and welfare.
Knowledge of our internal systems such as Liquid Logic and Oracle would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided and similarly an understanding of the issues that face individuals who are in contact with the Justice system and more importantly how to support and manage them is a key element of the post.
Flexible working is available and a limited amount of travel would also be expected in the role.
Working in partnership to deliver high quality services to service users through robust assessment and case management processes.
The Person
The post requires the individual to undertake case management responsibilities for individuals who are subject to statutory court orders. This covers Community Payback orders and Structured Deferred Sentences as well as the provision of court reports and feedback to sentencers. To be able to undertake this post you must be able to work collaboratively with partners who can include Health Court and Police Scotland colleagues as well as third sector organisations who can assist in promoting desistence and provide support to those we work with.
Welfare rights knowledge would be an advantage in this post as would the ability to prepare quality reports for courts and other partners. Strong IT skills would be preferrable as would the ability to work flexibly with a wide range of issues relating to offence focused work.
