Job Summary

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review monthly quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with statutory requirements tax regulations and internal policies.
Ensure accuracy of general ledger postings and perform account reconciliations including accruals prepayments and intercompany transactions.
Manage Joint Venture (JV) accounting matters such as cost sharing cash calls and partner billings.
Record monitor and reconcile capital and operating expenditures (CAPEX/OPEX) including exploration development and production costs.
Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules in accordance with applicable accounting methods.
Support production revenue accounting including reconciliation of lifting schedules and royalty calculations.
Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts in coordination with operational and project teams.
Monitor budget performance analyze variances and provide insights on cost control and financial performance.
Ensure compliance with statutory tax and JV reporting requirements.
Liaise with internal and external auditors during audit processes and ensure timely completion.
Oversee cash flow forecasts funding requirements and bank reconciliations.
Support improvements and enhancements to ERP systems (SAP) particularly finance-related modules.
Maintain proper documentation internal controls and compliance with corporate governance standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in accounting or finance within a multinational or international working environment.
Proficient in English communication both written and verbal.
Strong knowledge of accounting standards taxation and relevant regulations.
Experience in JV accounting CAPEX/OPEX tracking and financial reporting is preferred.
Proficient in ERP systems (SAP experience is an advantage).
Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines.
Effective communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Adaptable to a fast-paced working environment.
Responsible proactive and possess a positive working attitude.
Team player with a pleasant and professional personality.
