IMEGis growing andwedlove to have you join our team!We arecurrently seekingaConstruction Field Technician who will act as a traveling Construction Manager. This is a unique opportunity to assist our Idaho Falls Industrial team with nation wide projects.In this positionyou willbe responsible forassisting with construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills and an understanding of construction processes and techniques. The Construction Field Technician may be assigned to a construction project or projects to serve as a construction observer to make field measurements documentation entries and read and interpret plans. Some of these assignments may require temporary relocation.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Assists with all phases of the construction project which includes planning and scheduling from implementation to close out
  • Assists with coordination with architects engineers subcontractors and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met
  • Develop and maintain project schedules Conduct regular site inspections to assess project progress ensure quality site cleanliness and safety compliance
  • Assist with addressing any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process implementing effective solutions to keep the project on track
  • Ensure adherence to building codes regulations and industry standards throughout the construction process
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols prioritizing a safe work environment for all personnel on the construction site
  • Prepare and present reports progress summaries and other documentation to senior management and clients as required

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of construction processes techniques and best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities with a keen attention to detail
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft and MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to interpret and communicate company policies
  • Solid understanding of construction safety regulations and protocols
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to think critically and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to construction sites as needed as well as the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background check
  • Ability to acquire a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Card within 90 days of employment
  • Complete Miner Safety Health Administration (MSHA) training within 30-days of employment
  • Ability to travel up to 100% of the time with overnight stays both locally and nationally; Temporary relocation may be required for weeks at a time

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Construction Management or equivalent required
  • 1 year minimum of experience required 3 years preferred in construction administration

OR

  • Associates degree or certificate in Construction Management preferred
  • 5 years of experience minimum required 7 years preferred in construction administration

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to sit walk stand talk see hear and lift objects up to 25 pounds
  • Occasionally required to drive kneel stoop crouch crawl reach with hands or arms and grasp or pull
  • Will have exposure to outside weather conditions and loud noises

Salary Range $95000.00- $116000.00.

State of California Salary Range $115000.00 - $141000.00. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience knowledge skills and abilities of the applicant.
